  A leading global e-commerce platform.

  Cross-Functional Leadership & Migrations

  • Led the integration of a parcel tracking system for Amazon, architecting the end-to-end design across 6 internal services. Introduced the platform-standard app identity for partner authentication in place of a shipping-specific partner ID, which simplified key rotation and let partners manage credentials through existing dashboards. The approach was reused by later carrier integrations.
  • Initiated the platform's first major carrier migration (FedEx) to next-generation infrastructure: identified critical legacy constraints, built the POC and authored the design doc that turned it into a funded project, then led 5 engineers through a zero-downtime cutover. Documented the resulting patterns, which became the standard for all 7+ subsequent carrier migrations across rates, label purchase, tracking, and billing.
  • Served as primary technical contact for carrier partners including Amazon, FedEx and DHL Express, negotiating integration design and timelines, then guiding partner teams through onboarding and resolving integration concerns through cutover.
  • Engineered BigQuery monitoring systems to identify early carrier integration flaws, collaborating directly with enterprise partners to resolve them and saving the company ~$10k/month.
  • Authored design docs for every project led, setting technical direction and aligning peers, leadership and partner teams before implementation.

  System Architecture & Performance

  • Designed and built a custom Domain-Specific Language (DSL) and execution engine from the ground up, enabling enterprise partners to securely embed flexible, complex logic in CSV files within latency-sensitive checkout flows.
  • Co-developed a fault-tolerant rate card processing pipeline, leading the implementation of critical components including robust data validation, error collection, and the integration of the custom DSL logic.
  • Reduced checkout rate-fetching latency by 40% on a path serving millions of rate requests daily, by profiling the system end to end and eliminating redundant processing logic.
  • Led the development of an Address Autocomplete system at checkout, saving $60k+ annually by replacing premium third-party tools while boosting checkout conversion rates by ~5%.

  Product Innovation & Mentorship

  • Identified a gap in international address testing and built a POC to simplify benchmark comparisons. Pitched it into a team-wide project that became the standard internal tool for validating every subsequent country's address setup before release.
